This study came in a variety of topics, some of which dealt with the definition of semantics and its types, and some of them revealed the semantic clues that Ibn Faris relied on in the interpretation of the meanings of the language, and some of them were concerned with semantic development, its forms and manifestations, and the last of which provided an indication of semantic relationships between expressions.

The research concluded that Ibn Faris was a skilled scholar in the various sciences of language, especially semantic ones.

His book (Al-Sahbi) presented in his semantic discussion most of the topics of modern semantics, starting with the disclosure of semantics and its types and ending with the multiplicity of meaning and its change and its problems that appeared in the modern linguistic lesson.
