The study aims to identify the work environment of the press archive editor and his role in the communication process and the nature of the work that he performs within the communication process, and to know the level of job satisfaction of the press archive editor in the Egyptian newspapers as one of the basic and effective elements in the communication process and to monitor the most important factors that lead to reducing the level of satisfaction The job from the viewpoint of the press archive editor in the daily newspapers understudy and knowing the nature of the work that the press archive editor performs in press institutions and monitoring the press archive editor's satisfaction about the work environment in which he performs his work such as (programs that he is good at dealing with - the characteristics of the place in which he works)
Knowing the nature of their role in preparing and editing press material, monitoring press archive editor's satisfaction about his job in the archive and information department, monitoring press archive editor's satisfaction with management style in the department and monitoring press archive editor's satisfaction with material income.

This study belongs to descriptive studies that aim to report a specific phenomenon.

The study used a methodology The media survey came to a set of results, the most important of which are:
- 86% of the study sample confirmed that they practice editorial journalistic work in terms of collecting and writing journalistic material by editing and writing historical and archive topics.

 
- The results of the study confirmed that the majority of the study sample works in electronic image archiving, followed by work in the Internet section.

- The results of the study confirmed that 57% of the study sample are satisfied to some extent with the working environment conditions in the newspaper and that 52% of the study sample acknowledge that the place designated for the press archive is appropriate to the nature of work.

- 76% of the study sample stated that they are satisfied with their job in the Information and Press Archives Department.
