Social media have brought about an unprecedented breakthrough in communication sphere paving the way for users to make a cross - border influence unrestricted and to move to broader horizons.

This new media form has caused community features to change and provided an added value both politically and socially given its role in maintaining security within community.

This study is intended to demonstrate how social media could be optimally utilized for bringing about security within community.

Study mainly sheds the light on social media negative and positive impacts on UAE community security.

The aim is to further enhance positive effects and to handle negative ones.

Study used descriptive analytical approach whereby theory concepts were identified, and data was garnered and analyzed.

The following are the key findings: Enhance mechanisms of dealing with adverse impacts of social media on moral values and intellectual security.
