Security inspection is among measures taken by police to prevent crime, therefore, its effective management is essential.

Security inspection management encompasses coordination between those in charge of implementation; collection of accurate information; providing material resources and appropriate communication means.

These are the factors for successful security inspection operations.

This research is intended to identify the role of successful management system in the effectiveness of security inspection operations.

Research adopted descriptive, analytical approach.

The aim was to identify the essential elements required for the success of security checks, as well as impediments during preparation phase.

Research found that a host of essential elements were required in the preparation for an inspection operation, and that many problems could be encountered during this phase, but however numerous ways are there to overcome such impediments.

Research summed up with the importance of sound management system in the effectiveness of security inspection operations, and that security inspection management system should be developed through highly trained inspection teams and joint training with leading law enforcement entities.

Research also recommended the need to make use of technical aids and of security prediction in the future foresight of relevant security challenges.
