There are Arab poets who transcend the borders of their homeland to sing about the exploits and glory of the great nation by depicting its history and evok- ing its symbols, a manifestation that has become evident among poets who feel the need to defend the nation, preserve its gains, and reassure the integrity of its destiny, and perhaps this trend indicates a bold national spirit aiming to connect the present In the past and me in the other to unify visions and document the bonds of communication between the people of the same nation, and that this approach is possible only for those who have lived the pain of his nation and sensed its hopes and aspired to see what befalls it, and this approach in nocking at such subjects requires the fulfillment of its conditions for the poet to be an educated and aware of the history of the nation, and this is what we see in the Saudi poet Jassim al-Sihih, whose poetry collections tell us of a productive abundance and an abundance of knowledge indicating his ability to grasp this trend when he writes about Iraq and depicts it according to historical data identical to his reality.
