الملخص EN

Taiwan (Formosa) is a small island adjacent to the Chinese Empire, but all the ruling families in China did not care about it, nor did it try to prevent the European colonial countries from taking possession of it as it did with the dependent territories, so it left it to those countries, but it can be said that the Chinese sovereignty over the island was since The Ming Dynasty, but it was primarily, but the actual control was in the Qing Dynasty (Manchu), and in spite of that, it did not interest in Taiwan, and it was considered a headquarters for the gathering of Chinese immigrants from farmers as well as from outlaws.

On the contrary, the Taiwanese people were initially considered their homeland as part of the Chinese empire, so when the European colonial presence ended and that empire re-established control over the island of Taiwan, the residents of Taiwan considered that as a return to the larger homeland, but over time they began to realize their separate national identity, especially after tasting Frightened by the actions of the Chinese rulers responsible for the island of Taiwan.

She was facing.

During the 212-year Chinese rule in Taiwan, many uprisings and social unrest took place in Taiwan, which reflected the resentment of Taiwan residents about that rule as well as the indifference of the Chinese court to the Taiwan situation.

Some Chinese rulers in Taiwan dealt with the indigenous people with great superiority and did not try to get close to the Taiwanese people.

Rather, their relationship was limited to some influential people in that community, so they made every effort to establish such relations with the local elite, and people who have large agricultural properties and have sufficient armed force to help In maintaining order, but they forgot that these people could turn against them if the political and economic conditions changed, and this is what was actually happening in every Taiwanese uprising against Chinese rule.
