Ones of the fundamental values that the educational system reform aims at are Patriotism and citizenship so as to educate youth as they are the basics for the future, mainly in light of the sweeping attack of globalization, which imposed the necessity of entrenching these values to other aspects in the mentality and psychology of the learner.

This necessitates reforming and reviewing the academic courses including history books, which are not lack of values especially that the National Charter for Education and Training focused on by relying on teaching national history as an approach and implications, and their relationship to school time based on the history book for the second year of the baccalaureate, which defined the national history in three units; that’s to say, a total of twelve hours.

Thus, this indicates the weakness that distinguished it from the rest of the other units, and perhaps this is what imposes a new reconsideration of these decisions.
