Reforming the education, training, and qualification system and achieving quality are among the main issues that have attracted the attention of officials in the field of education and training.

This concern has been translated into adopting many approaches and experimenting many reform recipes believing that training human resources is the backbone of any economic and social renaissance, and sustainable societal development.

If quality is the desired goal that the educational system aspires, achieving this goal requires rethinking the training and educational qualification in the teaching professions and reviewing the pedagogical programs and curricula.

This presentation aims at clarifying the importance of linguistics, especially generative linguistics, in improving the teaching of the Arabic language.

The focus will be on "Linguistics and the Didactics of the Arabic language" module for which I am responsible in the Professional B.A degree of "Didactics of the Arabic Language and Literature" at the Polydisciplinary Facultyof Errachidia.

A module which seeks to equip students who wish to join the teaching profession with a set of procedural linguistic concepts and tools that can be used to improve the teaching of the Arabic language.
