Folk medicine has gone through several historical stages.

Emiratis, like others, have practiced the profession of folk medicine and other medical practices that contributed significantly to the treatment of many widespread diseases.

The questions addressed in this research are: (1) what is traditional and alternative medicine? (2) How has the medical and health life in the UAE society evolved? And (3) what are the most important aspects and features of this medical and health culture, as well as the methods of treatment with herbs and popular medical practices inherited in the UAE community? In this study, we will talk about the common diseases in the region and how they are treated with traditional recipes.

Our aim is to try to benefit from the theoretical and practical contribution of the early Emiratis in the field of medication, medical industry and health habits.

The researcher concludes by examining the advantage of being concerned with folk medicine and its possible role in contemporary medical life in the United Arab Emirates
