Recent years have witnessed a new type of terrorist operations, or, to be more exact, a transformation in the means and tools for carrying out such operations, like hijacking and exploding of civil aircrafts, and use of explosives and explosive belts.

Today, with the rapid advancement in the armament technology around the worldand the ease with which a terrorist group may obtain the latest weapons, on top of the great development in means of communication and movement, it has become easy for terrorist groups to plan and carry out new types of operations to achieve their goals – the most dangerous among them may be possession of nuclear weapons and the capability of using them in their terrorist acts, creating what is called nuclear terrorism
