The problem of research was stated in low level of the prep students in Visual thinking skills, To face this problem, the current research was used Electronic mind maps, This research aimed to investigate the effect of using Electronic mind maps for developing the Visual thinking skills for the first years of prep schools students.

The sample consisted of (50) students in fist prep stage, they are divided in two groups: one experimental group is (25) students (which studies with The Electronic mind maps) and the other Control group is (25) students (which studies with the usual syllabi).

Experimental processing materials included: Xmind programe which was used in the engineering and measurement unit in order to apply it to the experimental group students, The research tools included: Test of Visual thinking skills, it was applied pre on two groups (to ensure the equivalence of the two groups) and applying it post (to determine significant difference between the mean score of the experimental group and the control group).

The research found there were a significant effect of using Electronic mind maps on developing Visual thinking skills among first prep stage students
