الملخص الإنجليزي

This research is concerned with the study of virtual or digital currencies, the emergence of which has been controversial because of the risks involved as it is dominated by instability and high volatility in the value of prices in exchanges as well as the possibility of penetration and piracy.

Naturally, if these currencies are expanded, they will have negative effects on the monetary policies of countries.

This study will examine the impact of these currencies on the functions of the central bank and the performance of monetary policy.

This study sheds light on the evolution of Bitcoin as the most prominent image of these virtual currencies, and monitors the attitudes of the world countries towards it, whether rejected or welcomed.

The study aimed to get acquainted with the concept and types of virtual currencies and take note of the position of the countries of the world on them.

To reach this goal, the descriptive and analytical method was used.

The study also reached many conclusions from it against the advantages enjoyed by virtual money, but its risks as a financial tool are very high, both for individuals or for the overall economy.

Also, the effects of virtual money on monetary policy depend on the prevalence and prevalence of dealing with it.
