The researcher addressed the topic of aspects of youth addiction to the uses of new media, by examining the psychological, health and social effects of new media, and the study aims to reach several goals, including identifying the extent of youth's use of new media, and revealing the contents that contribute to addiction, and investigating Social, health, psychological and intellectual effects of the new media, this research is descriptive research and the researcher used the survey method to obtain data and information from the sample members, and the intentional (intentional) sample was relied upon and is one of the non- Possibility of distributing research forms to Baghdad University students, and the study reached several results, including: The answers of the respondents showed that "Facebook" is one of the most used new media, and after that, "Snapchat" came, and YouTube was ranked third.

The results indicated that the respondents spend most of their time "chatting and talking to others", and in the second place they spend their time "following up on what is published", and more than half of the respondents confirmed that the new media often caused family and marital problems.
