The methodology followed in the teaching of law contributed to the focus on legal rules and the neglect of legal sciences, such as the science of the formation of legal theories, phenoscience, comparative law, legal sociology, legal methodology, jurisprudence, legal and judicial logics, the philosophy of law and the science of legislative policy.

All these sciences are not taught to the law student, and they remain strange to him/her even after graduate studies.

This has led to the fact that have imagined law as an art as it is related to the arts of legislation and what it produces as rules.

However, law is both an art and a science.

At the same time, Roman jurists were interested in teaching law as science starting from the first century BC, but it remained undefined to this day.

This is why we have established specific divisions between the law as an art and the law as a science.
