Reproducing manuscripts is not only a skill or an art practiced by some people, but a highly significant task on the part of those preserve it to record science, to save legacy and heritage of nations, and to present their civilizations and cultures.

Since Karbala, the city of Imam Al-Hussein, is an Islamic center for scholars and intellectual movements, thus it becomes a rich field for reproducing manuscripts.

Due to that, it is necessary to spotlight this distinctive skill and inspect the biographies of its personage.

The present research scrutinizes 55 manuscripts in the very detailed catalogue of ''Kashif Al-Ghita'' Institution, in its 6th.

edition.

It also examines the general characteristics of this skill in Karbala, lists all the catalogues in the institution and their progressive number, and the characteristics of the Karbala'i manuscripts itemized in the catalogue.
