The First World War 1914-1918 created tragic circumstances in the economic and social aspects, and those tragedies included all countries of the world, only those crises affected even the countries that emerged victorious militarily and medialy, and the colonies that were under the control of the warring countries had a share of that and Lebanon had a large share as a result of that conflict So, he took from Lebanon a base for the launch of the sovereign Ottoman Empire over him, and he was re-established directly by Jamal Pasha, who has the ambition to restore his control over the Suez Canal.

The condition of the Lebanese people stumbled, and crises crowded over it, and its share was, in addition to the military presence, the economic crisis whose causes were multiple, which is natural, due to climatic conditions, as it faced a difficult winter that prevented the success of agricultural crops, interrupted means of communication with neighboring behaviors, and the spread of diseases and epidemics that led To the loss of many and austerity in the foodstuffs, most of which were ridiculed to help the Ottoman and German army, in addition to the naval blockade imposed by the European countries that are fighting with the Ottoman Empire, which prevented the provision of supplies and foreign aid along with the repression and persecution practiced by Jamal Pasha.
