This research concerns about instinctual art in the ceramic works of ancient Iraq, it lies in four chapters, first one concerned about clarifying the research's problem, importance of the research, need for it, limits and specifying terms mentioned in the research, problem of the research tackled with the concept of instinctually in the nature of work, in spite of that there were many works and artistic shapes that characterized with instinctual features that moved to the surface of artistic work.

Importance of work was embodied from the fact that the research shows an obvious idea about the existence of instinct and extent of employing it in the ceramic.

The aim of research is to discover the instinct in the ceramic of ancient Iraq, the research was limited to the period (Era of the races dawn) then it was finalized with specifying terms of instinct.

While second chapter included the theoretical frame and previous studies and discussing them as the theoretical frame included two sections, first one was about concept and second was about features of instinctual art in the ancient Iraqi art includes three pivots in ceramic, painting and sculpture.

Second chapter was ended with most important indicatives resulted from theoretical frame.

While third chapter was specialized to research procedures, population, sample and tool of research , fourth chapter included results, conclusions, recommendations, suggestions, sources and appendixes .

Most important results obtained by the researcher were: -1 Instinct in the artistic works has an obvious effect on a level of stages that indicate belonging of classic structure to the social context.2 Area of self invades the biggest space with the instinctual evidences.

-3 Expressional side poses primary feature of instinct.

-4 Employing of legendary contents to pose a characteristic of instinct.

One of the most recommendations that were come up by the researcher are: • Working on deepening the idea of plastic technical experiment of the Iraqi artist.

While suggestions are: • Elementary art influenced on contemporary art.
