The aim of the research was to identify psychological hardness and a relationship between the dimensions of psychological hardness for athletes The researcher used the descriptive approach, and the research community included athletics athletes participating in the Iraqi Athletics Clubs and Institutions Championship for men, youth and juniors for both sexes for the sports season (2018 - 2019), and the number (109) players, and the provinces of (Baghdad and Diyala) were chosen, And the psychological hardness scale prepared by (Farhan 2017) was used and scientific transactions were conducted in the validity and reliability of the scale, and the researcher used the statistical bag SPSS) to obtain the results and the researcher reached the following conclusion: Athletics players are distinguished by having psychological rigidity, and there is a significant correlation between the dimensions of psychological rigidity (commitment - control - and challenge) for athletics players.
