The research sheds light on the US-Iranian military relations during a difficult decade during the Cold War, and the effects it left in the Middle East region from the era of US President Richard Nixon until the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979, and examines Nixon's visit to Iran and his meeting with Shah Muhammad Reza Pahlavi and what it represented That visit was of great support for the Shah of Iran.

The research shows the size of the weapons and equipment that the United States was selling to Iran, as well as the training of the Iranian armed forces of all kinds, on land, air and sea, and the huge sums that were spent by the Shah to buy those weapons to help him be the policeman of the Arab Gulf and protect the interests of the United States, Israel and the West, and the US-Iranian military relations continued.

Until the Islamic Revolution of 1979.
