The importance of studying suicidal thoughts among university students who are physically abused comes from describing that the issue has become a distress to societies and systems because of its multiple risks to the structure of society, the family and the individual.

The current research aimed at identifying suicidal thoughts and identifying the difference with statistical significance according to the type of residence (city, countryside) of the subjects of the research sample.

The results showed that there is a statistically significant difference between the average of the community and the sample and in favor of the average of the sample members in suicidal thoughts.

There is a difference between the female victims of those who live in the city and the countryside and in favor of the female battered who live in the city.

In light of the results, the researchers recommended some recommendations to the relevant authorities and made some suggestions
