The current research aimed at identifying the level of social fears in the light of corona pandemic at graduate students and the relationship between social fears and academic performance according to gender variable (male - female) at the University of Kirkuk.

Therefore, the researcher built a scale of social fears consisting of (34) items.

And to measure the academic performance, the scale of (Al-Rifai, 2019) was used consisting of (32) items, and after extracting the validity and reliability of the two variables, the scale was applied on the basic sample of the research (100) male and female students by (50) males and (50) female graduate students for the academic year (2020-2021), and for the purpose of processing the data statistically, the researcher used the Pearson correlation coefficient and the T-test for one sample and two independent samples, and the following results were shown: The subjects of the research sample have social fears.

And the level of academic performance is average among graduate students.

It showed significant statistical differences in the level of social fears according to gender variable.

There were no statistical differences in the level of academic performance depending on gender variable.

There is an inverse correlation between social fears and the level of academic performance of graduate students i.

the greater the social fears, the lower the academic performance of the students, and vice versa.

The research showed many recommendations and suggestions.
