Extremism has become a serious problem that affects the security of society and the individual, given that the owners of this perverted ideology work in the dark, and are proficient in stirring up terror among people and frightening them in a way that deprives them of their calm alertness and the pleasure of their sleep, and permits the sanctity of their blood and money, and works to spread terror among the safe.

This study aimed to identify the level of intellectual extremism among university students, and the significance of the differences according to the variable of sex (male-female), as the researcher prepared a scale according to the steps of the scales in scientific research and its validity and stability were extracted, and the two scales were applied to the research sample of (400) male and female students.

From Tikrit University students for the third stage, distributed according to the gender variable.

Then the data were processed statistically using (T-Test, Pearson correlation coefficient, KI square, Shiffe test).

Not hardliners or fanatics with the ability to accept and understand the ideas of others, even if their content differs with them, there is no statistically significant difference between the average scores of males and the average degrees of females in the behavior of extremism and the researcher reached a number of recommendations and proposals in light of the results.
