الملخص EN

The Chalk Door is a polyphonic novel with high poetic ideas.

The novel is based on the idea of a multiplicity of (voices/characters) in addition to the multiplicity of types of consciousness expressed, as well as the multiplicity of voices within the sound itself, which I called (the sound fragmentation).

The novel explores such ideas due to the fact that each character in the novel represents a special ideological consciousness.

The consciousness of the characters is not subjected to the system of stability but to the change in the character itself, evidenced by its transformations in the seven virtual worlds, which led to the doubling of the concept of the Bakhtinian dialogue.

The novelist expresses the concerns of the Iraqi personality in an era of crisis full of political, social, intellectual, and religious transformations.

The fantasy imaginative can be described through the novelist's intent, through his focus on two main worlds, namely (reality/symbol).

They appear in all the seven worlds.

Their appearance is concentrated on the first and fifth worlds, as the first world represented reality through the inner view of the novel's characters; While the Fifth World came as an objective symbolic equivalent of the First World.

The novel belongs to the postmodernist literature and is distinguished by its striking wonders, its incandescent language, and the aesthetics of contradiction in the multiple viewpoints of its unaccomplished characters.

This is to be achieved through its polyphony - the multiplicity of its voices - the poetry of the novelist Ahmed Saadawi.

Our study is concerned with the seriousness of desire to critically root the novel by revealing Ahmed Saadawi's poetry represented by the polyphony of the novel through its narrative formation.

The research functions on the hypothesis that the novel has an (objective and narrative) polyphonic preference for the theme of (transformation) as (a semiotic-narrative sign).

It is employed to focus on the other issues that formed the style of the novel, in a way that nourishes the semiotic sign and serves it, as the transition between the seven worlds represents an objective shift that forms the intellectual polyphony, while the multiplicity of narrators through the maestro of the knowledgeable narrator (the author) embodies the narrative transformations in the novel.

Key words (polyphony - multiplicity of voices- fragmentation of voice - chronotope - parody)
