The study aimed to clarify the effect of the dividend distribution policy (free shares) on the market share price in the companies listed on the Khartoum Stock Exchange by knowing the effect of the free stock distribution policy (bonus) on determining the share price in the Khartoum Stock Exchange.

The study tested the following hypothesis: The policy of distributing bonus shares affects the determination of the market share price.

The study used the descriptive analytical approach, where the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program was used to analyze the study data.

The study population was represented in the companies listed on the Khartoum Stock Exchange, where the study population reached (135) individuals, and the sample size was reached using Steven Thumbethon’s equation, which reached (100) individuals from the total community.

The study found several conclusions, including that the company’s distribution of bonus shares is a positive sign of the company's future performance, and that the bonus shares are the most influential in determining the market price of the stock.

Among the recommendations of the study is the necessity of the market’s interest in providing sufficient information about the dividends distribution of the companies listed on the Khartoum Stock Exchange so that it reaches the old and new investors.
