This research is concerned with the geographical distribution of Halaf ware through making a list for all the Halaf sites in Iraq according to the administrative boundaries of the Iraqi governorates to document these sites.

This documentation process is accompanied by a statistic which depends on making comparisons of the numbers of these sites between one governorate and another, and finding their percentages based on relevant tables and charts with a map for this geographical distribution, to be that the first part of the research.

While the second section of the research is represented by a re-evaluation of previous opinions concerning the geographical distribution, also related terms and divisions, and re-proposing them in a new concept, to be followed by a statistical study of the Halaf sites according to the new divisions.

The third and final section deals with the economic interrelationship of the Halafian settlements and their impact on the geographical distribution of the archaeological sites.
