The relationship between economic and commercial growth with insurance in developed countries is a very strong relationship، as the insurance sector is one of the important and vital sectors.

The main problem of the research was that insurance in Iraq did not rise as required in the field of commercial activity، where one of the most important hypotheses of research that insurance has a positive role in the development of commercial activity.

This research aims at the importance of the insurance culture of the Karbalai merchants.

Through the research، it was concluded that the Karbalai merchants only buy compulsory insurance products and doe not have insurance awareness.

The research recommended the need to work on raising the insurance culture for merchants in particular through TV interviews and seminars، which show the importance of insurance in all its aspects، especially its importance in advancing commercial activity and protecting the traders.
