Moroccans were known for their love of work and science, so distances did not stop them in front of this positive aspect of their lives.

As soon as there are no livelihoods in their countries and for any reason, they turn their face towards Egypt, which embracing everyone.

So they were distributed on its land between a permanent resident and moving between Egypt and other countries, contributing to the activity of the economic life of Egypt, with the experiences they carried with them from their countries of origin in Morocco and Andalusia, and to be an effective and active factor in supplementing the economic life in Egypt.

The Ayyubid era (567 - 648 AH / 1171 - 1250 AD) witnessed despite the short period of its duration and the large number of its political events a clear role for Moroccans in this important aspect of the life of Egypt, although historians dealt with this aspect of Moroccans' activity briefly and superficially due to the nature of that era, thanks to their economic experience and support the Ayyubid state for them, until their commercial activity transcended outside the borders of Egypt, taking advantage of those experiences that they reaped fruits in their mother country (the Islamic Maghreb).

The research included a study of the three economic pillars, namely: agriculture, industry, and trade, with mention of the Moroccan characters who were active in these three aspects, in addition to the interest of the Ayyubid state with Moroccan merchants, the role of Moroccan merchants in Egypt's foreign trade, and to the most important commodities that Moroccans actively trade in.
