The current research aims to find out the effect of using the strategy of historical evidence on the achievement of intermediate second-grade students in the subject of sociology and the development of their critical reading skill.

The two researchers followed the experimental design of two equal experimental and control groups by pre and post test.

The research community consisted of middle and high school students for boys in the morning study and affiliated to the General Directorate of Education in Salah al-Din Governorate / Department of the role for the academic year (2020-2021 AD).
