The present study aimed at identifying the impact of terrorism on community security.

It also aimed at exploring the relationship between media and community security.

It aimed at exploring the role of the Jordanian media in fighting against terrorism and extremism.

The importance of the applied study stems from its findings and recommendations by assisting officials and employees of the security media in Jordan in developing their information, developing their efforts and improving their performance, which reflects positively on their services to the members of society and achieving community security.

A descriptive approach was adopted.

The SPSS program was used.

It was found that terrorism affects the community security.

It was found that there’s a relationship between media and community security.

It was found that Jordanian media do not play a significant role in fighting against terrorism and extremism.

The researcher recommends activating the role of security media in fighting against terrorism.

That can be done through providing the media personnel with training about the way of dealing efficiently with the events threatening security.
