This study examines the developments ofthe Palestinian issue after the end of WorldWar II (1939-1945), the entry of the UnitedStates of America to the line of settlementof this issue, and its pressure on the Britishside to cancel what was stated in the WhitePaper of 1939, and the British response tothese pressures and the formation of the(British-American) investigation committee), and issued a set of recommendations, some of which were welcomed by the Americanside (immigration, land transfer), butthe American side went beyond welcomingas it demanded the implementation of theserecommendations quickly, while the Arde rejected completely the recommendationsof the investigation committee.

Thejoint (British-American) committee wasformed, representing the British and Americansides, which resulted in the Morrisonproject, and a British attempt to convincethe Arab and Zionist sides of this projectby holding the London Conference of 1946, which had nothing but failure, so the Britishside was convinced By presenting theissue to the United Nations, which resultedin approving the division of Palestine intotwo states, and Iraq had a prominent rolein finding a solution to the Palestinian issueaway from partition projects.
