The research sheds light on information networks of all kinds and topology forms, with a focus on wireless networks of the type (Wireless Mesh Network) and what its various features can provide to libraries to expand and develop their services.

A process to create and use it for the purpose of making electronic information services available in the building of the General Secretariat of the Central Library at the University of Baghdad and for certain geographical distances, capable of expanding further distances as needed, and creating new information services such as making electronic resources available (such as eBooks, electronic theses and dissertations, etc.), broadcasting the OPAC and a other services for the users directly and on personal devices of various kinds, without the need for the users to go online to complete the process.

The research aims to introduce wireless (Mesh) networks, and to present a practical experience of the possibility of designing and creating wireless local networks used to provide information services in libraries, by creating a special gateway that provides various information services, and is designed in a simple practical way to facilitate the use of the network by the library's users.

The research reached a number of results, the most important of which is the possibility of using wireless networks to provide electronic services, as well as the standardization of office work for library workers.

The research concluded with a number of recommendations, the most important of which is seeking to investment the wireless mesh networks in the provision of electronic services in libraries, and seeking to use them to provide Electronic resources for researchers directly on their personal devices.
