Cinema drama is considered one of the most important means of artistic expression, as the seventh art is a means of expressing human thoughts, cinema has become at the present time a force to be reckoned with, and due to the many crises that targeted Egyptian society to destroy the national spirit of individuals within society, the state has directed all means Available to preserve the national spirit and enhance belonging within individuals, and the most important of these means is cinematic drama; It is considered the easiest mean to reach the people and the most influential on them.

Therefore, this method must be used optimally to achieve the goal of national development and enhance the spirit of belonging in society.

Therefore, this study aimed at identifying the role that the Egyptian cinematic drama plays in the awareness of university youth to the values of belonging and patriotism presented during it.

; As this study belongs to descriptive studies, and the survey method, both analytical and field studies, were used, by applying it to a deliberate sample of university youth consisting of 200 individual from the viewers of cinematic drama, and analyzing 7 fictional films from 2017 to 2020 as the values of belonging and patriotism were clearly appeared, the three main hypotheses were tested in the framework of the theory (cultural cultivation theory).

The content analysis and the questionnaire were used as tools to collect the study data, and the study revealed several results, from those results: The films of the analytical study sample were produced by a private sector Especially as it was written specifically for cinema, and the tragic template was used extensively in those films, the sample of the study, and the methods of using verbal and physical violence were largely relied upon during the films, The results also showed the high intensity of youth watching cinematic drama that addresses the values of belonging and patriotism through Open satellite television channels, and the respondents' trend towards Egyptian cinematic dramas that deals with the values of belonging and patriotism in a neutral manner, The results also showed an average level of awareness among university youth of the realism of the content presented during the Egyptian cinematic drama, and the results also showed a statistically significant correlation between (respondents' viewing intensity of cinematic drama that deals with the values of belonging and patriotism - utilitarian motives - ritual motives - active viewing) and their perception of those values There is also a statistically significant correlational relationship between university youth's tendency towards Egyptian cinematic drama that deals with the values of belonging and patriotism and (respondents 'perception of the realism of the content of Egyptian cinematic drama - the extent of interest in the values of belonging and patriotism provided by the Egyptian cinematic drama).

The researcher recommended the need to pay attention to the production of more films which deals with the values of belonging and patriotism and the films that document some important historical periods in Egyptian society, which would strengthen national unity and defend Egypt in various ways.
