Study title: The role of international and local organizations in development (A field study of the role of organizations in development in Yemen - obstacles and the ways of development).

- Researcher: Murad Ghaleb Hussien Naji - Study Purpose: - In general, this study aims to identify the extent of development in structures of the charitable and humanitarians organizations and institutions, their relationship with the state, the status of these organizations, institutions, and societies and their role in community service and social development, the motives of charitable and humanitarian action, and the target groups(beneficiaries), the obstacles hinder humanitarian action and the ways to overcome.

- Study methodology: The descriptive and analytical approach.

- Key results: - The researcher concluded the following: - The organizational structure or organizational chart of charitable, humanitarian or developmental organizations, institutions, or societies usually consists of three organizational levels: the general assembly, the board of directors; and the executive committees, and that there is complementarity or mutual dependence between the sub-structures.

The study also revealed the existence of integration, coordination and cooperation between these institutions and the state.

- The researcher concluded that humanitarian charities are among the most important organizations of public benefit.

- Furthermore, it concluded that there are many obstacles hinder this humanitarian and charitable action; these obstacles can be classified into five types: - Personal obstacles, cultural and social obstacles, administrative and organizational obstacles, financial and legislative obstacles.

According to the sex variables; the administrative and organizational obstacles are the most obstacles facing the charitable action according for men, while cultural and social obstacles are the most obstacles facing the charitable action for women.

- In the conclusion of the research, the researcher recommended those in charge of charitable and humanitarian organizations to live up to their responsibility that they put themselves in.

As well as, the researcher recommended to increase the establishment of humanitarian organizations institutions in urban area and to include females in its structures, activate the democracy practices, adopting the specialization in humanitarian action, amending legislation to ensure the transparency and sustainability of humanitarian action.

- The researcher also stressed and recommended the importance of capacities- building of workers in the charitable and humanitarian field, encouraging organizations and associations to adopt the principle of participation in decision-making.
