This study aims to understand the general framework tectonic of Jabal Abd-Alaziz area which locates in the northeastern part of Syria and to determine the sites that are most expected in terms of traps structural containing hydrocarbons within the study area, in a way that will guide the work of exploration and thus reduce a lot of time and effort field spent in the traditional investigating surveys.

the satellite data of (Landsat-7) and (Terra-Aster) was processed by using special multiple techniques of remote sensing (RS).

and with the help of geographic information systems (GIS).

the linear manifestations, the network water fluids, and the annular structures were identified, in addition to drawing roses diagram of the linear manifestations in order to understand the tectonic situation.

data of gravity and magnetic potentiality was processed and the anomalies positive and negative for each of them were determined and thus to access to the knowledge of the subsurface structures by applying special multiple techniques for potentiality data processing.

the integration of processed satellite imagery data and interpreted potentiality data and through GIS, the study area has been divided into four bands according to expectation to form structural traps container on hydrocarbons ; these areas are as follows : a region with high expectation to form structural traps container on hydrocarbons, a region with medium expectation, a region with weak expectation, and a region with bad expectation.
