In order to examine the impact of contributions into the scientific movement in Morocco brought about by western Sudanese scholars between the 16th and 19th centuries comes out this study.

It emerges in the effect and affect context that characterized Moroccan African relations through studying the role of the scholar Ahmed Baba Al-Nabatkti, and members of the knowledgeable family of Kentucky.

This paper thoroughly studies this scholar’s life and the circumstances of his move from Tibetan to Marrakesh by considering his biography wholly and that of his sheikhs by including his prominent existing works, their whereabouts as well as the lost ones.

Moreover, the study includes the biography of Sheikh Al-Mukhtar Al-Kanti, his son -Sheikh Muhammad bin Al-Mukhtar Al-Kanti- and their most prominent sheikhs and students in addition to their manuscript heritage in Moroccan libraries
