The object of this research, " status of mosques deviated a little from Qibla direction and the impact of modern technological methods on their sanctuarie", is to explain the status of application of modern technological methods outcomes to determination of the Qibla direction in all Muslims mosques.

in fact, Qibla direction is a holy matter, because it is related to one of the greatest Islamic rituals i.e.: Salat.

all of the efforts of the religious scholars and astrologists have met to realize the exact definition of Qibla direction.

their writings concerning this issue focused on the explanation of ways and degrees which define and determine the right direction of Gibla taking into consideration their change according to different places and countries.

so, sanctuaries used to be built under supervision and agreement of religious scholars and specialists.

they were keen of the exactness of Qibla direction with the available means they could have.

such means had been different and developed from time to time.therefore differences in determining Qibla direction were seen normal from country to another and within the same country.

nowadays, new accurate and delicate methods and means have been invented.

such as "GPS" system and "google earth" programme.

they are to help determine Qibla direction in exreme exactitude.

the use of these technological devices has disclosed deviations from the right Qibla direction in many mosques.

consequently, a big controversy has been aroused among worshipers over the need of all Muslims mosques to use such devices.

hence this study is to illustrate the importance of seeking modern technological aid for directing new mosques sanctuaries towards the right direction of Qibla.

as for the old mosques, it is not necessary to modify their sanctuaries so long they are plausibly directed.

therefore there is no need to oblige all Muslims mosques all over the world to stick to modern technological findings to readjust the direction of their sanctuaries under pretext of the accuracy of these findings.

consequently, no obligation is set because of large diligence in this respect.

it has been well known throughout the Islamic history that religious scholars and guardians have always admitted sanctuaries which are slightly deviated from the right Qibla direction leaving people with their faith in respect to this matter.

nevertheless, seeking rectitude in exploring the right Qibla direction is desirable .
