Since the revolution in northern Yemen in 1962 and independence in the south in 1967, Yemen has been suffering from conflicts, political and economic crises.

Despite the establishment of unity between the two parts of Yemen and the declaration of political pluralism, this did not prevent the continuation of these conflicts and crises.

The political struggle and the creation of common ground between the political parties began with the announcement of the unity in a coalition government headed by Engineer Haider Al-Attas.

Since that time and until now, several coalition governments have passed through Yemen, including the government of Engineer Moein Abdul Malik now.
