The research aims at identifying the requirements and dimensions of the digital economy in the southern Palestinian governorates and its relation to the development of the Palestinian tourist sector with indicating to the amount of change in the development of tourism sector as a result of the change in the digital economy.

The researcher utilized the descriptive method.

To collect the required data, the researcher used a questionnaire.

The population of study consisted of all administrators working in the hotels at the southern Palestinian governorates.

40 questionnaires were distributed and 30 ones were collected for achieving the study objectives.

The study showed these important results: the interest of hotels in the availability of digital economy requirements occupied a relative weight (79.1%), while the development of Palestinian tourist sector has a relative weight with (58.66%).

The study findings also revealed that there was a statistically significant and direct relationship at )α≤0.05) between the dimensions of the digital economy and development of tourism sector and there was an effect estimated with (82.2%) in the change of the development in the tourist sector is due to change in the independent variables.

However, the remaining percentage (17.8%) is due to change in other factors.

As for the most important recommendations, the study demonstrated the following: hotels should pay attention to developing human capital and enhancing the scientific capabilities in the hotels.
