This study aimed to identify the components of the annual performance appraisal as envisaged by the faculty members at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University.

To achieve the goal of the study, a scale was built for the components of the annual performance appraisal, and its validity was verified by using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) where it produced a seven of factors and was applied to a sample of (301) faculty members who were randomly selected from the teaching staff working at the Imam University in the second semester of the academic year 2019/2020.

The results show an average of (3.92) of the study sample responses on the scale with a standard deviation of 0.48, also no statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (Alpha) (0.05 ≥ α) in all independent variables, and four variables (dimensions) have significantly contributed to the interpretation of the variance in the degree of satisfaction with the approved evaluation mechanism in at the university, and helped in extracting the regression equation that enables predicting faculty members’ satisfaction with evaluation procedures at the university.

The study recommends continuing to develop and improve faculty members performance evaluation tools that are flexible and objective and rely on multiple sources of data.
