When it comes to energy in Algeria, it is often about oil and conventional natural gas, in particular since the oil crisis caused by the dramatic drop in crude oil prices from around USD 115 per barrel in June 2014 to around USD 45 at the end of January 2015, and negotiated in the $60 USD in August 2019.

Moreover, this fall will certainly lead to an already declining income.

With this in mind, we recall the ambitions of the Algerian government in the field of renewable energy, which remain at present very minority according to the programs already launched, and whose passage from the current energy system which is based in near-In addition, the Commission has also taken the view that the Member States should take the necessary steps to ensure that the country's energy and economic security is safeguarded.

Résume: Lorsqu'il est question d'énergie en Algérie, c'est souvent au sujet du pétrole et du gaz naturel conventionnel, en particulier depuis la crise pétrolière provoquée par la chute vertigineuse des cours du brut qui est passée d'environ 115 dollars USD le baril en juin 2014, à près de 45 dollars USD à la fin de janvier 2015, et négocié dans les 60 dollars USD en Aout 2019.

De plus, cette chute ne manquera pas d'entraîner avec elle une rente déjà en déclin.

Dans cette optique, nous rappelons les ambitions du gouvernement algérien dans le domaine des énergies renouvelables, qui restent à l'heure actuelle très minoritaires selon les programmes déjà lancés, et dont le passage du l'actuel système énergétique qui est basé en quasi-totalité sur des hydrocarbures conventionnels en voie d'épuisement vers un nouveau système basé sur un bouquet énergétique aussi diversifié que possible pour assurer au mieux la sécurité énergétique et économique du pays.
