Arabic is the language of the Quran; a wide and profound language, due to that fact that it is characterized with the accuracy of expressions that results in the accuracy of meaning intended.

Of its other aspects of accuracy and extensiveness is the variety of styles and word derivatives.

Since the comprehension of the Holy Quran depends on mastering its language, which, in turn, depends on being acquainted with the secrets of the changes that Arabic experiences includingdefiniteness and indefiniteness that nouns in Arabic experience.

This study considers the purposes behind these two cases and their impacts in the Holy Quran.
