According to the previous data the research objectives were formulated which is1- Recognize vertical thinking of the students in al-mustansirya university the college of basic education.2- Recognize the differences of statistical significances for vertical thinking of the students in al-mustansiryauniversity the college of basic education according to the following variables1- The gender (male, female).2- The specialization (scientific, humanitarian).3- The age (20-25-26-30-31 and more).

To achieve the research goals the researcher made a scale for vertical thinking of the students in al-mustansirya university the college of basic education, the scale were made up of(34) paragraphs.

The research sample was selected in a randomly way, after collecting the data, they were processed by using the appropriate statistical means.

The research accomplished the following results1- The sample have vertical thinking.2- The female thinking vertically more than male.3- The humanitarian specialization are thinking vertically more than scientific specialization.
