The aim of the research is to analyze the evolution of the crime of money laundering in financial institutions and their reality in the Iraqi economy and banking strategies followed by the Central Bank in the follow-up of money laundering operations and ways to follow up with international institutions, by standing on the international means used to address this phenomenon and influential factors To identify the applications used to combat them, thereby limiting their growth, and to identify the necessary procedures in this regard and focus on some issues and subjects that require special attention and attention to protect the banking system and protect it from dangers Caused by them.

The study presented a set of proposals to raise the transparency of the Central Bank with the international financial institutions concerned with analyzing the reality of the crime of money laundering in Iraq and limiting the reasons for their increase.
