The current study tackles the motive of description, imagery, persuasion, aesthetic, in the discourse of Imam Mosa Ibn Ja`afarAl-Kadhim (Peace be upon him).

The acts of persuasion triumphsas it takes the responsibility to cast the evidence for capturing theattention of the interlocutors and for having him perceive the realconcept of the imam in focus.

Such is a way to manifest the so greata role, message role, of the imam whose word is the light to guidepeople into piety.

All those who desire to have wisdom run in linewith him, the descendent of the prophetic family and a mesh of theimmamite chain; he is one of the divine Muhammadian lights.

The description grows more evidently as eloquent to cast theevidence, simile and metaphor are more preponderant devices usedin his speech.

Moreover, there are other figure of speech; allusion, borrowing, consonance, used to have the insight of the people, andso forth.

The researcher endeavours to manifest such an issue throughtwo axes.

The first takes hold of the description etymologically forcertain Arab critics, old and new, the second does the persuasion.

The third does the most eloquent devices used to fathom thepersuasive angle in the discourse of the imam as there are advice, supplication and argumentation and there are an introduction anda conclusion cuddling all the results.
