International environmental agreements have established mechanisms for settling conflicts.

These conflicts are due to a lack of agreement between viewpoints, a difference of interests between states.

Conflict results from human intervention in natural environmental systems, whether it is in peacetime or in times of armed conflict.

Despite the peculiarities of these disputes, there are no special means to settle them, as they are subject to the same methods in which international disputes are generally settled.

It should be pointed out that despite the role that these means play in settling international conflicts for the environment, the importance, sensitivity and seriousness of the issue of protecting the environment internationally leads to stressing the need to pay attention to working in order to avoid these conflicts before they arise, following the saying “prevention is better than cure”
