The paper dealt with air transport services and their economic role in African countries and aimed to provide a theoretical framework on air transport and its services in the continent of Africa and also to define its economic role in African countries, based on the descriptive and analytical approach in addition to using the case study methodology of the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority, and the problem of the study was represented in Knowing the role of economic air transport services in African countries, by shedding light on the services provided by the Civil Aviation Authority as an air carrier in Sudan, considering Sudan is one of the most important African countries.

Air transport services in the African economy? The study assumed that there is a relationship between air transport services and the economy of African countries through the facilities provided by transportation, that air transport services work to increase and maximize production in terms of quantity and quality, and that air transport services provide the means for the transportation of goods and labor to places that are more beneficial.

With a number of results, the most important of which is that air transport services played a major role in the economy of African countries, as they worked to link the African continent with each other.

Air transport services also worked to increase trade exchange between African countries and the distribution of agricultural and industrial products and production inputs among African countries, each according to The study recommended work to improve the quality of services provided by the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority and the need to expand airports, especially Khartoum International Airport, and to deal with airports as an economic unit that deals with market mechanisms and the foundations of commercial competition.
