It is well known to the contemplators in literary texts that a word lives, dies and grows in context whether this context is written or spoken, and it becomes meaningless if separated from its context.

So many meanings are given to the word depending on the contexts in which they used.

Compositional informative speech discourse lives and grows according to the diversity of contexts.

The search has captured these contexts in the light of the vocative technique which is one of the compositional discourses found in Arabic discourse.

The research has found in Imam Ali's text (Nahj al-Balagha) a fertile ground to differentiate between these compositional stylistic contexts, because it contains many ideas which motivate us to watch these topics carefully and uncover the miscellaneous generative contexts for this style.

The most important issues addressed by this research are: ' .it appeared that rhetoricians, more than any other Arab scholars,addressed the metaphorical meaning of the vocative ^ .the term generative and productive contexts is closer to reality than the figurative meanings.
