The study deals with the ordering of epithets in relation to the indefinite substantives in the Quranic context.

Grammarians are divided into three ap- proaches: Sibawayh believed that is possible in Arabic speech, while Ibin Al-Sarraj , supported by Ibin Isfur, believe that is impossible to occur , but only in rare cases or in poetic necessity, whereas Ibin Malik considered that a singular epithet preceding a phrase or a sentence takes place because of predominance .

Concurrently, it is found that the view which believes in the impossibility of that case could not withstand the range of meanings con- veyed by the Quranic texts .The epithet introduces the verbal sentence for some reasons.

1-the legislator wants to introduce the relationship between Him and the be- lievers to the relationship among the believers themselves , or between them and the disbelievers as seen by His Almighty's saying " O you who have be- lieved, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers”(Surat Al-Ma'idah , 54).

2- the verbal sentence should precede because its meaning is important rather than any thing else "And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, 3-And We had certainly brought them a Book which We detailed by know- ledge - as guidance and mercy to a people who believe.(Al'araf,52)
