The study aims to show the role of the Iraqi press in the June 5, 1967 war, and to take Al-Jumhuriya newspaper as a model for that role.

Through the newspaper, the study clarifies the official Iraqi position on the war and the measures taken by Iraq in order to stand with the Arab countries in that war, which the Arlost as a result of the Arab armies' lack of readiness to fight the war in a manner that guarantees their victory.

It appears from the course of events that the Arab-Israeli conflict is part of the proxy war between the (former) Soviet Union, which wanted the Arab countries to secede under its military and political dress, and the United States of America, which continuously supports Israel and its repeated attempts to control the Middle East and the main oil sources in the world in that region.

The study also clarifies the important role of the Iraqi military forces through their direct participation in the war and providing military support, especially to Syria.

The researcher uses several sources to enhance his research, including unpublished documents, published foreign documents, documentary books, memoir books, and books that talked about that period of time, taking the views of most of the parties concerned with the conflict and their directions.

However, the study shows that Al-Jumhuriya newspaper, with its national approach, supported the Palestinian cause and supported the Iraqi trends and their positions towards the war in a way that gave it a distinguished position and widespread among the Iraqi newspapers for what it provided to the Iraqi reader of daily scenes of the events of the June 5, 1967 war.
