In this research humanities refer to those areas of knowledge that deals with the study and understanding of the spiritual, cultural and social dimensions of human life.

The research addresses the general tendency of neglecting humanities in our societies and universities and the erosion of its role in the development and progress of contemporary societies against an overemphasis on the so-called natural and technological sciences.

Formal concern for social sciences, humanities, and cultural sciences in general is minute, and almost these sciences are considered second or last class.

The research is a kind of urgent anxiety for the restoration of the status of social sciences and humanities in society and the system of higher education and redressing their marginalization.

The research supports the view that social science and humanities and their knowledge sphere constitutes the framework and the necessary cultural incubator without which neither renaissance nor real innovative scientific and technological progress could be realized.
